We are hiring summer internships to our offices in Trondheim and Oslo for the summer of 2025. Working for Nordic Semiconductor, you will be challenged, inspired, and supported. This is a unique opportunity to get to know Nordic as a company, get new experience and to expand your professional network. You will be working in one of our departments within the Short-Range business unit, where you can work with a wide variety of tasks and projects. Below you will see a list and a short description of the different internships we are offering for 2025.

Internships
Analog IC Summer Trainees (Trondheim, Oslo)
- 3+ years of MSc studies in Electrical Engineering
- Understanding of analog and/or RF design principles as well as design tools and methods
- Experience in Cadence design environment
- Experience in laboratory measurements and ability to use common measurement equipment such as signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers
Digital IC Summer Trainees (Trondheim, Oslo)
- 3+ years of MSc studies in Electrical Engineering
- Digital RTL design related courses preferably completed
- Understanding of digital IC design principles as well as design tools and methods
- Experience with SystemVerilog design language
- Basic skills with C and scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python etc)
Embedded Application Summer Trainees (Trondheim, Oslo)
- Application development: Design, develop and test software solutions and hardware for our nRF54 products with a focus on performance and ease of use.
- Demo development: Develop interactive demos that showcase the functionality and benefits of Nordic Semiconductor's products.
- Implementation of Arduino support: Work on integrating Arduino compatibility for Nordic Semiconductor's latest product, nRF54L15, so that developers can easily use our solutions in their projects.
- Documentation: Prepare documentation and guides to ensure that the solutions are easily accessible to both internal and external users.
HW Characterization Summer Trainees (Trondheim)
- 3+ years of MSc studies in Electrical Engineering
- Understanding of analog and/or RF measurement principles.
- Experience with LabVIEW or/and Python.
- Experience in laboratory measurements and ability to use common measurement equipment such as signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers
Algorithm, modelling and AI Summer Trainees (Trondheim, Oslo)
- 3+ years of MSc studies in Telecommunications / Information Technology / Electrical Engineering / Signal Processing / Mathematics / Physics / Computer Science
- Systematic and good problem-solving skills with ability to learn new things
- Software engineering skills in Python or C/C++ and familiarity with simulation tools and methods
- Post quantum algorithms
- Database measurement fetch scripting. Reporting and presentation automation
- Software Protocol Modelling and implementation
Embedded Systems Verification (HFV) Summer Trainees (Trondheim)
- 3+ years of MSc studies in embedded systems, computer science, or similar
- Good C programming skills
- Knowledge of Git, build systems, GNU binutils, GDB, GCC toolchain
- Using Linux as main working environment
Software/Web programming, Summer Trainees (Trondheim)
- 3+ years of MSc studies in Telecommunications / Information Technology / Electrical Engineering / Signal Processing / Mathematics / Physics / Computer Science
- Systematic and good problem-solving skills with ability to learn new things
- Software engineering skills in Python or C/C++/C# and familiarity with revision control like git
- Knowledge of JavaScript and Python web frameworks as Django.
- Database handling like MySQL el.
Scripting / programming, Summer Trainee (Trondheim)
- 3+ years of MSc studies in Telecommunications / Information Technology / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science
- Systematic and good problem-solving skills with ability to learn new things
- Overall experience working in a Linux-based environment
- Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, or similar) - including GUI programming and ability to build data structures or small databases
- Experience with one or more industry-standard models required for deliveries at cell/library level (GDSII/OASIS, Verilog, LEF, Milkyway, ICC2/NDM, SPICE-netlists, Liberty format, models for ATPG tools, EM-IR models)
- Experience with industry standard, state of the art EDA tools relevant for cell/library-level design and verification (spice simulation, schematics, layout, physical verification, layout-parasitic-extraction, high level abstraction models / derived models, transistor level device characteristics, etc.)
Bluetooth software and tool development Summer Trainees (Trondheim, Oslo)
- Application development for Bluetooth samples used as template code for Nordic customers.
- Development of tools using our newest product family (nRF54L)
