Senior R&D Engineer - Device Firmware Update
About the job
It is an exciting time to join Nordic Semiconductor as we continue to build upon our successful history of wireless innovation. For new family of multicore SoC we are developing new secure firmware update solution and you can be a part of this exciting journey.
We are looking for a seasoned Software Engineer and a good team player to join the Software Platform Group in R&D to work on future products, especially in the areas of Software update and Security. You will be working with our nRF Connect SDK, which is built around the Zephyr open-source RTOS. You will work in a smaller team, as a part of a large group of experienced and competent embedded SW engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Designing, coding and testing secure. user-friendly and low-power functionalities related to Device Firmware Update (DFU) and OTA (Over-the-air updates)
- Cooperating with other development teams to understand their needs and dependencies
- Provide support and expertise for both internal (other teams, Devzone, FAEs etc) and external customers
Key Qualifications
- Master's or bachelor's degree in Electronics & Electrical, Computer Science Engineering, or other relevant field
- Excellent C micro-controller programming skills
- Experience in embedded software design, implementation and testing
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience working with any RTOS or Linux kernel will be an asset
