Senior Procurement Manager
About the job
It is an exciting time to join Nordic Semiconductor as we continue to build upon our successful history of wireless innovation. The senior procurement manager is responsible for our OSATs and test suppliers. The role will manage the procurement process, effectively interfacing with internal functional teams and externally with supply partners. It will ensure the security of supply and competitive costs, meeting the company's strategic and operational objectives and requirements. It will also build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- RFQ Process Management
- Ownership of all aspects of the quotation process for assigned suppliers, ensuring accurate, cost-effective and timely quotes
- Collaborate with other team members to implement, maintain and continually improve
- Cost Management
- Identify/negotiate the potential cost down and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and maintain methods and tools related to the calculation and representation of manufacturing costs
- Contract negotiations and compliance
- Assist with the definition and documentation of procurement processes
- Participate in supplier strategy definition and strategic forecasting
- Support other functional groups with any supplier issues or concerns
- Assist in gathering market intelligence capabilities on key markets, suppliers, processes, technologies, and solutions to support tactical decision-making as well as strategic development processes
- Specific procurement tasks as dictated by business needs
Qualification and skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
- Several years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier management or other related fields
- Understanding of the market dynamics and commercial awareness relating to the semiconductor industry
- Technical understanding of semiconductor products and services
- The ability to navigate in a global matrix organization
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
