Memory Test Engineer

About the job
As a Memory Test Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing digital test structures to evaluate functionality in silicon test chips. This role involves planning, designing, implementing, and executing hardware tests, analyzing results, and preparing summary reports. You will also create and maintain test documentation, analyze test results to identify failure trends, and suggest new test strategies. Collaboration with team members and other departments is crucial to share findings and improve the design process. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and has experience in memory design, hardware lab environment, or firmware development. Familiarity with programming languages such as Perl, Python, Java, and C++ is required, along with experience in hardware test automation and reporting. Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Implement digital test structures to be evaluate functionality in silicon test chips.
- Plan, design, implement and execute hardware tests, analyze results and prepare summary reports.
- Create and maintain test documentation.
- Analyze test results to identify failure trends and suggest new test strategies to gain further insight.
- Collaborate with other team members and other departments to share findings and help improve the complete design process.
Qualification and skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in memory design, in hardware lab environment or in developing firmware.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Perl, Python, Java, and C++.
- Experience with hardware test automation and reporting, from creation of test benches, execution on hardware
