As a Field Application Engineer, you will be responsible for enabling our customers in Eastern Canada to use our technology in a variety of exciting applications. You will be a key technical expert for our internal and external teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create and present Nordic Semiconductor’s technical value proposition, highlighting competitive Software, Firmware, System, and Chip level strengths
• Create and present Nordic Semiconductor’s value proposition
• Understand the customer applications and use cases
• Work with Regional Sales Managers to design in Nordic solutions at key customers
• Respond to technical inquiries and provide solutions in a timely manner
• Technical expert in the Sales team, working with distributors and partners
• Developing and owning key technical relationships with customers

Qualification and skills

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
• At least 1 year of embedded development experience with an understanding of embedded hardware including digital, analog, and RF circuits
• Experience with ARM microcontrollers and Zephyr RTOS highly desirable
• Experience working with wireless protocols such as Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, LTE-M, and NB-IoT
• Experience working with software to interface IoT devices with cloud software services such as AWS and Azure highly desirable
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills

Practical details

• Location: near Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa
• This position requires regular domestic and occasional international travel
