Embedded Software Engineer, ULP Multi-Role Radio

This is an exciting time to join Nordic Semiconductor. Today, the Long-Range Business Unit of Nordic Semiconductor covers Cellular IoT, DECT NR+, and Cloud Solutions. In this business unit, we have now established a new group, called Ultra-low Power Multi-Role Radio, building the world’s lowest power radio for industrial and consumer applications.
As an Embedded Software Engineer in this newly formed team, you will play a key role in creating new opportunities for Nordic Semiconductor. You will help define and develop the software for the radio, and you will collaborate closely with your peers in the Long-Range Business Unit and the other teams at Nordic Semiconductor.
You will report to the SW Manager in the Multi-Role Radio team.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop the radio driver for the new multi-role radio chip, including
- Real time multi-core processing and inter-core communication
- Radio packet handling and coding
- Signal processing
- Contribute to the specification of the multi-role radio modem and software architecture
- Contribute to protocol stack development and follow up of partners and consultants
- Set up a build and test system based on best practices in Nordic
- Collaborate closely with other software teams in Nordic
Key Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar
- Experience within embedded software development
- Good knowledge of the C programming language
- Good knowledge of wireless communication protocols
- Good knowledge of software test methodology
- Knowledge of signal processing and working with DSPs is a benefit
- Knowledge of Python and other scripting languages
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
