Drive layout sign‑off quality, including DRC/LVS/ERC, EM/IR checks, and PEX‑driven design optimization in collaboration with circuit designers.
Collaborate closely with the Technology Development team to provide feedback, create test patterns, and help develop design rules that ensure accurate and reliable implementations.
Lead design reviews and mentor junior layout engineers, promoting best practices and ensuring consistent methodology across projects.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical education in electronics or a related field
Several years of experience in Analog Custom Layout or supporting Analog Layout Designers
Basic understanding of semiconductor physics and processing.
Experience in developing Calibre or ICV runsets and validation test cases
Basic knowledge in Linux shell scripting languages, such as tcsh, Tcl, and Perl.
Personal Skills
A successful Senior Analog IC Layout Engineer combines meticulous attention to detail with a disciplined, analytical mindset, ensuring every layout choice supports first‑pass silicon success while meeting demanding performance and reliability targets. They communicate clearly and confidently across teams—translating complex layout considerations into actionable insights for circuit designers and technology developers—and they thrive in collaborative environments where precision and problem‑solving are key. With a natural sense of ownership and accountability, they navigate tight tape‑out schedules with calm, structured execution, always driving work forward with rigor and consistency.
