What You’ll Do

As a summer intern in our Long-Range & Cloud Business Unit, you can work as:

Algorithm Summer Trainees (Oulu, Espoo, Tampere, Turku)

• 3+ years of MSc studies in Telecommunications / Information Technology / Electrical Engineering / Signal Processing / Mathematics / Physics / Computer Science

• Basic knowledge of Cellular IoT (LTE-M, NB-IoT) or LTE radios

• Understanding of basic radio transceiver algorithms

• Systematic and good problem-solving skills with ability to learn new things

• Software engineering skills in Python, C/C++ or Matlab and familiarity with simulation tools and methods

• Task is to model and analyze transceiver algorithms

Software Summer Trainees (Oulu, Tampere, Turku)

• 3+ years of B.Sc./M.Sc. studies in Electrical Engineering / Telecommunications Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology

• Programming skills in C or C++, and scripting languages (e.g. Python). One or more programming courses completed with good grades.

• Understanding principles of embedded and/or communication SW development, debugging and testing

• Wireless communications studies/knowledge is necessary for some roles

• Appreciated: hobbies related to embedded programming / IoT devices, basic lab skills, Digital HW understanding
