Technology Platform Engineer - Model/PDKs

The role of technology platform engineer offers an interesting opportunity to work on improving design flow/methodology, design kits, and scripting/automation of tasks. This will require a strong understanding of device-level behavior and modeling, experience with both front-end and back-end design and interest in automation. As a motivated individual, you enjoy working both independently and within a team, you are solution-oriented and like ensuring continuous development by adding your personal expertise and experience.
Key responsibilities
Collaborating with designers and the CAD group to support both analog and digital design flows.
Providing support to design teams regarding the behavior and modeling of semiconductor devices.
Maintaining up-to-date technology files and analyzing changes to assess associated risks.
Assisting in the delivery of automated workflows and methodologies to maximize performance and usage of Process Design Kits (PDKs).
Providing documentation and technical support to internal design teams. As well as working with internal design teams to align PDK updates with technology roadmaps.
Qualification and skills
Strong knowledge of semiconductor devices, SPICE modeling/simulation and the Spectre simulator.
Experience or interest in developing automation using Virtuoso-SKILL, Tcl, and/or Python (proficiency in more than one is preferred).
Solid understanding of foundry processes and methodologies related to PDK development.
Proficient with Unix, especially in scripting (shell, python).
Experience with Git revision control is a plus.
