Senior Full Stack Engineer - TypeScript/Python Oslo, Norway
Want to build across the stack—from devices to cloud—solve tough challenges, and shape the future of IoT with a world-class, collaborative team?
About the job
Nordic Semiconductor is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Product Engineering team and help build the “nRF Cloud powered by Memfault” platform. Our platform gives hardware teams the tools to monitor, debug, and update IoT devices in production. Companies like reMarkable, Ultrahuman, and Airthings rely on it to keep millions of devices reliable in the field, and customers have reported results like 10x reductions in return rates and doubled engineering productivity.
Cloud-based tooling and generative AI are changing how products get built, debugged, and shipped, and our platform sits at the center of that shift for the IoT industry. Customers are onboarding new devices daily and usage is scaling fast. You’ll join a collaborative team of generalists from startups, scale-ups, and leading global technology companies, working on everything from SDKs for microcontrollers to large-scale backend data processing to custom frontend visualizations. You’re encouraged to explore and contribute across the full stack, depending on your interests and expertise.
Key responsibilities
Work on the hard technical challenges that interest you while delivering value to our customers and supporting our business objectives.
Start with simple, pragmatic solutions and iterate quickly. Our engineers strive to ship meaningful work every day.
Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to take ambiguous problems and build solutions that work for our customers.
Help bring modern development tools & best practices to the whole software engineering discipline in the IoT industry.
Have a major positive impact on our product, our customers, our culture, and our business.
Qualification and skills
5+ years building and shipping web applications in production
Strong experience in either frontend or backend development:
Complex React/TypeScript frontends with data visualization, or
Scalable Python or Kotlin backends (Django, Flask, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, Redis, AWS)
Comfort with the full lifecycle: you’ve operated production systems, debugged incidents, and built observability into what you ship
Personal Skills
You take ownership. When you see a problem worth solving, you don’t wait to be asked.
You’re caring, kind, and low-ego. Other people do better when they work with you.
You’re energized by impact. You care about building good products that deliver real value to end users.
You hold strong opinions loosely. You bring conviction to technical discussions but change your mind when presented with better evidence.
You’re curious about the domain. You’re excited to learn about hardware and embedded software, and about what firmware engineers actually need.
Working for Nordic
Working at Nordic, you will be inspired and supported to develop yourself. Our teams enjoy a professional and informal working environment. We value and encourage the continuous development of skills and expertise to the highest levels. We are proud of our Norwegian heritage, our highly skilled international workforce, and our world-leading innovation.

About Nordic Semiconductor
Nordic Semiconductor is a Norwegian fabless semiconductor company specializing in wireless communication technology that powers the Internet of Things (IoT). Nordic was established in 1983 and has about 1400 employees across the globe. Our award-winning Bluetooth Low Energy solutions pioneered ultra-low power wireless, making us the global market leader. Our technology range was later supplemented by ANT+, Thread and Zigbee, and in 2018 we launched our low power, compact LTE-M/NB-IoT cellular IoT solutions to extend the penetration of the IoT. The Nordic portfolio was further complemented by Wi-Fi technology in 2021.
